The Beechtree Restaurant, situated at our Moray Street campus, is home to our Hospitality and Tourism Academy. We have provided a fresh water bowl at the front door for them to have a drink & we now sell Scoops Ice cream for Dogs! We allow dogs in the bar area & dogs are welcome in the garden, but not in the conservatory area.

In 1991 the Beech Tree opened near Vassar College serving seasonal, local food and drinks. At Beechtree each neighborhood houses a fully stocked kitchenette, which ensures constant availability of beverages and light refreshments anytime of the day or night. Our clinical nursing staff monitor each dining room to ensure each resident is satisfied with their daily meals. Residents may choose their meal from a “Resident Approved” menu that includes a main entrée as well as an alternate entrée for every lunch and dinner. All entrees are freshly prepared in our kitchen daily, using reduced salt and sugar when necessary.

As for the future, Foglietta says that he’s too busy winding things down to even think about opening another restaurant. A celebratory send-off is planned for one of the bartenders who’s last night is this Friday. BLACK LLAMA BAR
We aim to create un-fussy, tasty food that is accessible and familiar yet created with an eye for precision, flavour and seasonality. Our food ethos is largely influenced by a collection of British chefs including Hugh Fearnley-Whitingstall, April Bloomfield, Marco Pierre White, Heston Blumenthal and Tom Kerridge (to name a few). The home cook sat down with the newly hired Chef and they proceeded to bang out a menu. What followed was a do-it-yourself restaurant built on a shoe-string budget.
